Rekindling The Fire Of God

To rekindle the fire is a time when we come back home to God, rededicating our lives to him. Roms. 12;11-13- "Never let the fire in your heart go out, keep it alive, serve the lord. When you hope, be joyful. When you suffer, be patient. When you pray, be faithful.

Share with God's people who are in need. Welcome others into your homes." In light of His imminent return, let us live lives that would please Him everyday until He returns. Keep the fire going, and if need be, rekindle the fire of God in your life because that's the only way to stay faithful.

One of the commandment God gave to Moses and the Israelite in Lev 6:13- "A fire shall always be burning on the alter; it shall never go out." God sent the fire, but it is the priests responsibility to sustain the fire on the altar, so like the priests, it is also our duty to sustain the fire of God in our lives. However, the Lord gave them specific instructions to follw so that they could keep the fire burning on the altar. These divine instructions are still useful to us today to sustain the fire of God in our souls.

Signs that you've lost the spiritual fire in your life:

• You avoid spiritual things

• You are no longer committed

• You have abandoned your place of service

• You no longer hear God speak because your heart has become hard

• You haven't lost your salvation, but you have lost your joy

• You consistently grieve and quench the Holy Spirit

• You are missing out on God's blessings.

If your fire has gone out or dying out, the gospel is that God want to restore you back. He wants to rekindle the fire in you once again. Right about now, i'll be showing you five ways to rekindle the fire of God in your life:

1. Clear the ashes: Before you can rekindle the fire of God in your life, you must first of all clear all the ashes you have gathered over time. You must clear out the past testimonies and encounters that have become stale, in other for you to have fresh hunger to rekindle the fire of God in your life.

2. Trim the Wick: If you must rekindle the fire of God in your life, there are lot of things that you must cut of from your life. If the flesh as taken over the spirit, you must work on the flesh by fasting so as to strengthen your spirit.

3. Muse upon the Word

4. Go back to the source and stay where the fire is

5. Don't quench the Holy Spirit.
